In an exciting development for Kenyan cricket, Pushkar Sharma has been named in the national squad for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Challenge League. The league, scheduled from 25th September to 5th October 2024, will take place in Nairobi at the prestigious Gymkhana and Ruaraka Sports Club venues.
The tournament serves as a key qualifier for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, with Kenya facing competition from Denmark, Kuwait, Papua New Guinea, Jersey, and Qatar in a round-robin format.
Pushkar Sharma’s impressive domestic performances have paved his way into the squad. Having scored 385 runs in 9 matches in the NPCA Super Division 2024, including a century and two fifties, Sharma has proven to be an essential asset for the national team.
