International Tigers Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Heritage International School

Kasar Amboli, July 29, 2024 – Heritage International School celebrated International Tigers Day with great enthusiasm, emphasizing the importance of tiger conservation and habitat protection. This year's theme, "Call for Action," inspired a series of engaging activities designed to educate students about the crucial role of tigers in our ecosystem.

Since 2019, the school has collaborated with Kids for Tigers - Sanctuary Asia, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness about saving tigers, forests, and the environment. The activities, part of the school's mission "Join Hands to Save The Stripes," involved students from primary to secondary levels.

The event kicked off with an assembly program, where students shared insights about International Tigers Day. Younger students, from grades 1 and 2, enthusiastically participated in a palm painting activity, while those in grades 3 to 5 showcased their creativity in a tiger mask-making competition. Students in grades 6 to 10 created informative posters supporting tiger conservation, and a tiger-themed face-painting competition was held for students in grades 8 to 10, highlighting their artistic skills.

The event was a resounding success, with active involvement from students, teachers, and staff, effectively raising awareness about tiger conservation. Under the guidance of Principal Dr Renu Patil, Eco Club members, and house-on-duty teachers, the celebration achieved its goals of promoting tiger conservation, raising awareness about the importance of tigers in the ecosystem, and supporting efforts against poaching and habitat destruction.

The school management, including Founder President Mr Krishna Bhilare, Secretary Mrs Sangeeta Bhilare, Admin Manager Mr Kunal Bhilare, and Mrs Yashaswini Bhilare, commended the students for their talent, creativity, and commitment to delivering a vital social message to "Save Tigers."
