Heritage International School provided students with an enriching educational experience by screening the historical film Chhaava on the 24th and 25th of February 2025. This initiative, spearheaded by the school’s management—Mr. Krishna Bhilare (Founder President), Mrs. Sangita Bhilare (Founder Secretary), Mr Kunal Bhilare (Managing Director), Dr Renu Patil (Principal), and Mrs. Yashaswini Bhilare (Admin Manager)—aimed to instil a deep sense of respect and admiration for the sacrifices made by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in their pursuit of Swaraj.

Chhaava, a 2025 historical action film, brings to life the legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Inspired by Shivaji Sawant’s renowned novel, the film vividly portrays his indomitable courage, vision, and unwavering commitment to his kingdom and people. By showcasing the struggles and resilience of the Maratha warriors and their families, the film serves as a powerful educational tool, shedding light on an era that shaped history.
The screening proved to be a thought-provoking experience for students, offering valuable insights into the socio-political landscape of the time. The film particularly highlights the challenges faced by families during the war, emphasizing the crucial role of women in upholding the spirit of resistance and perseverance.

Students expressed deep appreciation for Chhaava, recognizing its importance in bringing attention to a lesser-known chapter of Maratha history. Moved by the film’s powerful narrative, they paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj with a resounding Shivgarjana, demonstrating their reverence for these legendary figures.
Heritage International School remains committed to fostering historical awareness among students and will continue to create opportunities for them to engage with India’s rich cultural heritage.
