In a bid to foster creativity, instil traditional values, and promote environmental awareness, Heritage International School, KasarAmboli, organized an “Eco-Friendly Ganesha” workshop on September 6, 2024.

The hands-on workshop, focused on crafting eco-friendly Ganesh idols using Shadu Mati, was conducted for students of Std 1-8. The session was led by renowned artists Mr. Avinash Ranmale and Mr. Ganesh Jagtap. Meanwhile, pre-primary students joyfully shaped their own Ganesha idols using colourful playdough, while primary students showcased their innovation and resourcefulness by crafting clay and dough replicas of Lord Ganesha. This activity not only highlighted their creativity but also nurtured a sense of environmental responsibility.

The day was filled with positive energy, as the act of creating their idols brought a deep sense of devotion and excitement among both students and parents. Many expressed their eagerness to use these handmade idols during their Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations.

Festivals in India serve as powerful reminders of unity and the importance of human connections. At Heritage International School, such events are a regular part of fostering cultural education and inclusivity across all age groups. The eco-friendly Ganesha workshop is another step toward preserving the environment by encouraging students to adopt sustainable practices.

Principal Mrs. Renu Patil took the opportunity to share with students the significance of natural resources and emphasized the importance of celebrating festivals in an environmentally conscious manner. Her message was clear: going forward, let's all embrace eco-friendly idols and contribute to nature conservation during Ganesh Chaturthi.

The school's management members, including Founder President Mr Krishna Bhilare, Secretary Mrs. Sangeeta Bhilare, Director Mr Kunal Bhilare, and Admin Manager Mrs. Yashaswini Bhilare, praised the students' efforts and creativity while extending their heartfelt wishes for the festival.
