This was one of the most awaited films of this year. There are some factful things about this movie. Directed by R.Balki, it is based on the serial killings of film critics.
The beginning of the film is with Sunny Deol's ( Arvind Mathur) entry scene which is simple yet classy. The fresh story, with a unique script, suits him, and he must often try such films in his selection.
Talking about characters, Dulquer Salmaan is a gem actor. His versatile acting makes the public fall in love with him. The same is here. His character graph is the one to watch for.
The movie has a 4th or 5th scene, which includes a meeting of Shreya Dhanwantary and Dulquer Salmaan, aka Danny and Nila Menon.
An interesting fact about the film is, it connects the story with old and nostalgic music, which is the best creative input to date with good dialogues. Especially a line in the conversation between Dilquer and Shreya that "Zinda feel karne ke liye cinema chahiye" makes us feel the movie is more impactful.
We also see Pooja Bhaat aka Zenobia making an entry again through this film, through the role of an expert criminal psychologist, to study the mindset of a serial killer.
Talking about the roles played, Dulquer Salmaan's role is overwhelming. His character makes a sense of eagerness and urges to watch the movie till the end.
Shreya Dhanwantary also made a point to stabilize the movie graph in an upward direction and carry the role of Nila in a better manner.
Well, I have to mention, that the film has an "A" rated and must be watched by people above 18 years. So, if you are planning to watch the movie, please let the kids stay at home.
The movie is produced by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Jayantilal Gada, Anil Naidu, and Gauri Shinde under the banner Hope Production.
So yes, talking about the concept of the movie, well it is a fresh piece of scenes shooted and put together.
The screenplay seems better and the direction and cinematography by Vishal Sinha are brilliant. With a budget of 10 CR ( source: Wikipedia), this film makes us think about the circle of film critics' world.
A film which is good or bad should be mentioned by studying every aspect of the film, and not only by any particular one.
A cameo of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan makes a surprise here.
The film also shows a back story, from which the revealing of the serial killer happens, in which the linking of old films like Kagaz Ke Phool, Gurudatt, and his breakdown after the fall of the film is mentioned.
The story turns upside down when Nila ( Shreya Dhanwantary) gets stuck in a serial killer's plan which might make us inquisitive about What's Next?
Although a fresh and unique concept is here to make Bollywood survive from remakes, this film is trending on IMDb with 8.7/10
